Advanced Paraplanners to be located in Valbonne (South East France) and Lisbon (Portugal)
 

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
Provide a full professional support function to Partners.

 

 

 


Key Responsibilities and Duties

PREPARE AND MAINTAIN CLIENT FILES

  • Collect quantitative detailed information required to compile a Financial Plan 
  • Ensure that all compliance paperwork is present
  • Ensure that all 'Know Your Client' information (KYC) is up to date and accurate
  • Confirm client risk profile is determined and has been agreed with the client
  • Discuss client objectives with the Partner
  • Identify and obtain the information necessary to compile financial cash flow forecast
  • Compile net worth statement; income and expenditure statements and financial cash flow forecast and discuss with the Partner


PREPARE RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Identify areas for planning
  • Undertake research both independently and with the Partner to identify suitable solutions to meet the clients need
  • Prepare information/comparisons for analysis by the Partner
  • Liaise with client’s legal and tax advisers (if applicable)
  • Consider allocation of assets for investment strategy with regard to client risk profile and in line with Blevins Franks models
  • Ensure that all investment strategies are approved by the Investment Team
  • Prepare draft recommendation reports to be discussed/agreed with  the Partner within defined service levels
  • Prepare suitability letters in accordance with the agreed recommendations within defined service standards


BUILD CASH FLOW MODELS

  • Ensure that quantitative data used by the cash flow modelling tool is correct
  • Interpret qualitative data received from Planner and build scenarios using cash flow modelling tool


IMPLEMENTATION OF RECOMMENDATIONS

  • To implement financial planning recommendations to a select number of clients
  • Oversee the completion of application/proposals forms for all new/top-up business
  • Ensure all compliance paperwork is in order
  • Oversee changes to clients’ investments as instructed  by the Partner or as agreed directly with the client
  • Follow through on the implementation of the agreed recommendations


PREPARE FOR CLIENT REVIEWS

  • Act as main point of contact and deal effectively with queries from clients and other parties through effective communication
  • Look to establish and build relationships with clients and on occasion attend client meetings with the Financial Planner as and when required
  • Update cash flow models in preparation for review meeting


MANAGE THE ONGOING CLIENT RELATIONSHIP

  • Prepare and interpret information for clients such as investment performance reports, financial document summaries and income projections
  • Answer clients’ questions about the purpose and details of financial plans and strategies
  • Review clients’ accounts and plans regularly to determine whether life changes, economic changes, or financial performance indicate a need for plan reassessment
  • Build and maintain client databases, keeping current client plans up to date
  • Meet the professional, regulatory and ethical aspects of the role and treat all clients fairly at all times

  • Processes and procedures followed

  • Reports and suitability letters are drafted within defined timescales
  • Cash flow models created are accurate and error rates are kept within agreed tolerances
  • Clients files are comprehensive and compliant and error rates are kept within agreed tolerances
  • Complaints kept within agreed tolerances
  • Management of ongoing client relationships
  • Following diligently all compliance procedures and ensure all recommendations are compliant
  • CPD (be able to demonstrate 35 hours of CPD activity per annum of which 21 hours must be structured)

Experience, Skills Qualifications

  • Excellent understanding of the financial planning process
  • Good report writing skills
  • Proficient IT skills. Word processing and spreadsheet knowledge
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working within a financial planning company
  • Experience using cash-flow forecasts preferable
  • Achieved Level 4 RDR qualification
