Private Client Manager | Portugal
Mark joined Blevins Franks in 2014 with 14 years’ worth of experience working in financial services. After graduating from university in 2001, he started his career by assisting a team of experienced advisers in a research and report-writing capacity. His move to financial adviser in 2005 took Mark from behind the desk to a front-facing role. He spent a number of years working within financial adviser and tax consultancy practices in both London and Cheshire before moving to Portugal to join Blevins Franks.
Mark holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and has a level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (DipFA) from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). He is on track to achieve Chartered status by 2018 and the STEP (Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners) qualification after that.
Based in the Algarve office, Mark receives support from the local team as well as a dedicated team of Client Services Officers, tax, pensions and investment specialists in both Malta and London.
As a Private Client Manager, Mark looks after the interests of existing clients living throughout Portugal. This involves travelling across the Algarve and regularly commuting to Lisbon to meet with clients, review their investments and make sure they are suitably invested.
Mark and his girlfriend Debrah live in the Algarve with their two dogs. Away from work, Mark enjoys going to the gym and boxing. Also a bookworm, he particularly enjoys reading about psychology and learning new languages – Portuguese being his latest challenge.
